Diffrent types of Niles????

Ive heard that there's diffrent types of niles depending on where there from in africa.

Well mine has a hint of blue on the stripes by is mouth and on his sides..does anybody kno wat kind he is ..or are they all the same??

I would post a pic but dnt kno how

if i remember correctly, most if not all "blue" niles are located around egypt. and yes, there are different localities that have different coloring/pattern. burundi, tanzania, egyptian, etc. then there's the ornate "nile" monitor, although they are now technically ornate monitors (varanus ornatus)

is this true..that that determines there growth rate or size if husbandary is correct?

no. localities in niles only effect markings. V. niloticus, no matter the locality, is still the same species and requires the same husbandry.

I would like to see pics of your "blue" phase. I have always thought mine had a ting of blue in him as well, although its hard to see it in these photos. AND they are kind of old photos as sell.
