Thanks Shannon that is exactly what I wanted to see. A very well healed injury that may have been bad news if that snake where a male, it probably would have left him sterile for sure, interesting stuff how well snakes and other Herptiles heal from injuries that you would think would have killed them for sure.

I opened my mouth and out flowed a melody black.
Yep, funny thing is a saved a king last year that was about to be crow food also and it is a male and has just a little bit longer of a tail than this one.Real funny thing is he was up on the road trailing a big female that had just been hit.
I wonder if he still has enough junk to get-r-did?
We kept him for a pet since he was real big and super docile and my little girl (five at the time) just fell in love with him.He just hangs out in a 55 gallon in the living room.
Here he is.

It would be interesting to see if that male still breds or even try's to bred.

"try's to bred" and "enough junk to get-r-did?"
You guys are killing me!!!! Oh! my ribs "hart" LOL!!!!!!!
Too funny!
I have a WC Charlotte Co., Va. Cornsnake that was caught with a healed wound. It looks like someone tried to kill it with a shovel. It has a large cut that goes all the way through it's sides and belly, but did not go through it's spine. It's amazing what some of these animals live through. I'll post pics when I get a chance.
