Good Egg and Slug Egg stuck together.

kennny Jul 02, 2008 04:03 AM

Hi Everyone,

I've just had my second ever clutch and for the first time i've had some eggs stuck together, 1 being a slug egg to a good egg attached to 2 more good eggs. i'm expecting this to start going off pretty soon, so what should I do to stop the good eggs spoiling? is there a recommended point to remove it or do i just hope for the best?

many thanks,

Kenny.

If it is really stuck, don't risk tearing a good egg by trying to remove it from a slug. If it is a good egg, it will not be affected by the slug next to it.

Pictured is part of a whole clutch that went bad for me
this year. Usually "very colorful" invasions on eggs are
bacterial?? I had the feeling that I would lose this
clutch when the first couple of eggs starting turning
so "colorful".

Good Luck!

Hi Susan,

Thanks for getting back to me. The slug is is definalty stuck to the good egg. is there a chance i can remove it later or should I just leave it along even when it spoils?

Kenny.
