kieranduncan Sep 02, 2003 02:52 PM

Hey guys, this is my first post here in about a year. I have a large female corn, shes around 5 foot and eating rats that are about 2 times the size of an adult mouse.. maybe alittle bigger but i cant be sure. Shes still sheding every couple of months and seems to still be growing so heres hopeing she gets longer! (i doubt it though, because shes about 4 years old now). So what do you guys have? Any one have any six footers out there?

Meet Hercules.. Almost 10 years old. He gets one small adult mouse every 14 days. Feeding larger of more frequent results in fat depostits.

hey thanks for the reply. when you say the thing about fat deposits, is that just with older snakes or any snakes? kali is still growning (still sheds quite often, which i believe is a sign of that), i feed her once every 7 days, one very large mouse or a rat thats alittle bigger, do you think thats too much? she isnt fat and is in perfect health and fitness

-thanks

Older snakes will get fat and it is very unhealthy. Some however have a fast metabolisme and will burn it up. I think you try to slow down a bit by feeding every 10 days.
