A "Hungle"...a "Jarlequin"...*lol* awww c'mon,do we really need to make up some new name every time we combine previously recognized traits to form a new combinant cultivar...This is a Harlequin/Jungle Hypo,I produced on Cinco de Mayo.(hope the pic shows here,I uploaded from the bragging post on the Barker's site.)

I think the correct term is salmunglequin! Thats a very pretty snake though and definitely has a strong harly influence

Rainshadow Jul 02, 2008 05:36 PM

Can you imagine trying to work that into a beer fueled conversation in Daytona! the next day we'd just probably call it the "slurr monster".

I would love nothing more...I'm not sure what I expected with this combination,(I'm not the first to do it!)but I was rather surprised by the reverse striping on the latter half...and the eyes of the entire litter are just plain "odd".

Thanks Jeff, I thought the same thing when you posted that "reverse monster tail" you've been hiding...I've seen other people pop out a few "r.s.t.'s" in their Harlequin litters, but this is the first year I've seen much of it in mine,so I was pleasantly surprised, and just had to share a pic!

...as usual, but it looks like we may have even a better season than last year! One of my last litters in Sept is from my best male Coral Albino X Hypo Harlequin female!

Unreal just unreal....This morph does not get it deserves..

boidaeaddiction Jul 02, 2008 09:41 PM

I love it. I've been waiting to see that combo for some time now. I know there was debate over how to distinguish harlequins from jungles in a pairing like this. The characteristics of both are in that one and I can't wait to see the color come in. To be honest, who cares if it's hard to tell the difference between the jungles and harlequins, either way they would be screamers and both traits would add to one another. Congrats Tim, I'll take 5 of them.

I've been waiting for that to be done! Very cool Tim! Are you going to post pics of the entire litter? (please?)
Very interesting to see how the two traits interact with each other, that is one crazy lookin' boa!
Congrats!
Take care,
-April

(did you keep any babies from the Zahara litter? If you can believe it, I still have all 9 of mine! lol)
