that feeding a large redtail boa every 2 weeks is wrong...that once a month is enough...I tried telling him that it depends on the size of the prey...I feed one large rat every 2 weeks and I think she is doing great with that...and I don't think that is too much
One every 2 weeks looks likeit's doin the job! Do what works best for you as long as it's safe for your boa. Your boa looks super healthy and on the right path by the way. Thats an awesome lookin boa!
I feed when they want or usually every 5-10 days. As soon as the bulge has subsided they are ready. Some people wait till they deficate but as long as they do. It really doesn't matter when.
Most of the time its after a meal for my collection.
Interval is based on size prey vs size animal.

One large or jumbo rat every two weeks is fine.
I have seen.
Where did you get her?
I feed my adults one Jumbo every two weeks.
If she starts looking pudgy I skip feeding her that week or give her a smaller rat.

believe it or not she was originally a pet store boa...not sure where...we are like her third owner...We got her from a guy who basically handled her long enough to snap pics for his myspace (the girls thought it was sexy)...lol...he was scared to death of her and only handled her two or three times...we paid 100 bucks for her and a 55 gallon aquarium and stand...Very good deal if ya ask me...but a ball python is in the aquarium...

Hydro is doing great...We biult him a new enclosure and he is nice and green now...has room to chase those darn crickets...watching him dive into his water bowl after them his hilarius...lol
