L.t..n. Ontogentic Change Predictable?

Dan_W Jul 03, 2008 02:47 AM

I'd appreciate knowing if an albino Nelsoni's change into either the "white phase" or "yellow phase" is a coin toss, or can be accurately predicted.

Also, is the percentage 50/50, or is one phase more prevelant than the other. All three of the albino Nelsoni that I've had have been the white phase, but I also appreciate the yellow phase. Which phase is favored by hobbyists?

Thanks!

Dan

I have three males - all different.
1st one is the "normal" red & white phase.
2nd one is high yellow and bright orange
3rd one is very high yellow and bright red

They are all great snakes - but if I had to pick my fav, it would be #3. Very high yellow - lot's of red. He was produced by Tim Spuckler at Third Eye Herps in Cleveland.

Don't know which one occures more other than I tend to see more of the white ones.

Thanks, Steve.

They're all great specimens, although I prefer #1...!
