I have got two adult beardies from a freind who did not want them any more. I need to clean there cage a.s.a.p. and I dont know what type of bedding to use, they have some sort of pelleted food but will I need crickets and vitamin supplements? How can I determine there sex? I would ask my friend but I do not feel he had there best intrest in mind. Thank you in advance.

Here's a good care sheet.

Personally I put all new arrivals on shelf liner. It is Duck brand from Walmart. It is like a thin smooth foam. It is easy to wipe clean and will allow you to get a stool sample without contamination from the substrate. After at least a month when I am sure the new arrival is healthy he/she moves to permanant quarters with a playsand substrate.
