sharing some hatchling pics...

nodaksnakelover Jul 03, 2008 03:35 PM

Hello!
Thought I'd share some pics with everyone of some taken related to corns hatching. First up are some surprise Hypo Blood babies. My Bloodred pair is apparently het hypo which I didn't know beforehand!

I have some Charleston, SC locality corns hatching now. And this little fellow has a fan... my three year old daughter...

And last, but not least, some hatchling Okeetees that have had their first shed. These are Love line Okeetees...like black in your Okeetees anyone?

well, I have dark babies and then these light babies...almost half were these light reds, definetly something hypoish going on!

Every last one of those animal's are great looking!,....cute little daughter as well..LOL!

That certainly looks like a "REAL DEAL" Hypo Bloodred to me too. The proof is in those ruby-red eyes, and the very subdued melanin coloration. I assume both parent's that produced that were acquired from the same clutch of siblings somewhere, otherwise the odds of having two bloodred parents from different sources that were BOTH het for hypo would really be freakish odds!..LOL!....know what I mean?

Those Okeetee's should really look sweet as well as they age!

best regards, ~Doug

yep, parents are siblings. Apparently one of their parents carried the hypo gene and passed it on to them. They are definetly different from the dark siblings in the clutch so I know it's hypo.
