ALBINO LEOPARDS BORN TODAY!!!!

Amanda_Burke Jul 03, 2008 03:36 PM

We are so thrilled about this litter that I can't even describe the feeling! We have been waiting for a long time for these and are so excited with the results.

I can't wait to see what these two look like after a shed when their color is in! You can see how different their patterns are.

Their heads are peach!

Here are the grandparents that produced our double het Leopard Albinos in 2004.

Thanks to everybody for looking, I'm sure there will be plenty more pictures where these came from after they shed!

Just when I thought I couldn't be more of a boa purist; I guess that has to go out the window now. That is probably the best combo we will see all year next to the sharp blood. Congrats guys.

Tom & Amanda -

I seldom post these days, and it really takes something worth commenting on before I do post ...

And these are really worth commenting on ...

I really appreciate the time and patience put into a project of double recessive genes ... especially when it pays off with results that clearly and unmistakenly represent the characteristics of both genes ... even moreso, given the limited work done with (and limited success with) the Leopard gene.

My only suggestion is not to get into the fancy adjectives such as "peach-colored" heads and whatever else describes them ... the animals really speak for themselves.

Also, what a great testiment to living up to your slogan of "Selective Breeding".

I will have an extra beer tonight to help you celebrate.

A tad bit trite, but ... A BIG CONGRATS !!!

ceniceros Jul 03, 2008 06:05 PM

Wow... I now want to get an albino leopard. They look great.

Amazing litter and very beautiful albinos. Andrew

LeeMatthew Jul 04, 2008 01:50 AM

Amazingly beautiful! They look abit like the albino black head pythons out of the netherlands.

BoaMorph Jul 04, 2008 01:53 AM

I thought they would be! I had expected these might be similar to how most of the albino motleys have been where the color intensity is not great, but those kids are FULL of bright peachy orange - Very Cool! Congrats Tom and Amanda!
