Real bummer on the two that were kinked really bad and dead in the egg.Actually the real dark one was alive but died shortly after pushing his head out.The other never had a chance but it was a candycane for sure.

Thanks man, I will probably hold them all back and see what happens in a couple years.I can't wait now for next year to see what I can get from the same pair. Then in (2010) I will probably be breeding these guys together or back to there parents to see what the heck we have.Just what I needed was another project.LOL...

What? Another project for Mr. Brown? You can always send it my way if you like.
Nice one bro. Can you tell us a little about the origins? I'd personally love to hear about it.
Thanks.

Thanks dude.
Wel I laid it out on one of the posts but in a nutshell,.....
In the mid to late 90's guys from the Philly Zoo went down there on permit and caught some knobs in a place other than copper caynon like all the others in the country are from.
They were in a place called San Juanito. Anyway, they were able to breed them in the Zoo and one of my friends was able to get a pair and a lone female w/c greeri also ( I have her as well).
Anyway, I got the knobs two years ago as sub-adults but they were pretty skinny.I did my best to get some weight one them (especially the female) and I thought they l;ooked pretty good so I bred them last year.I only got 5 slugs and just didn't worry about it cause it was there first time.
This year I had great weight on them and got 7 good looking eggs.Well, I was as surprised as anybody when that candycane hatched. There ended up being 2 in the clutch and one very nce pinner thats pretty light also.
Anyway, time will tell but I am thinking its a gene like the Applegate pyro and is simple recessive.Only time will tell.
And next yer it will be cool to see what I get also.
Here are the parents.
Shannon
