Dan,
Just went thru the pict on the field notes from june23? when you and your son and cousin went to his father in laws property, those picts were amazing, it must be nice to enjoy that kind of beautiful contry with your son, I especially enjoyed the pics of the coiled up rattler at eye level, since I keep a local caught timber rattler female for awhile about 15 yrs ago, they have wicked eyes and a lot darker colored than the rattlers you have out west, but that thing made me paranoid having it in the house, so I gave it back to the guy that originally caught it, and would not do that again, but it was interesting. I hope you were not as close to that coiled snake as it looks in the pic, it makes me nervous just looking, but way cool, keep up the good field work and keep sharing.... great stuff.
Thanks

Thanks Jeff, yea it is cool getting out with my boy, I'll have another one in a few weeks!
Well actually I was as close to it as the pics look. My camera has no zoom, & I do what I have to do to get the good pics. Keep checking the fields note forum, I post on there often, & will have more pics posted soon of the snakes I've found this week.
