Masticophis flagellum piceus - Red Coach

alphadragon Jul 04, 2008 02:22 AM

I caught a four foot Red Coachwhip in my sideyard today sunning itself on the concrete. As soon as it saw me it raised up and I knew what it was right away. Not many snakes are aggressive as these guys. Anyways he is in one of my 20 gallon long tanks. I will snap a pic this weekend in the meantime here is a pic of a San Diego county Red Coachwhip. He looks like this but he is more Red/Orange.

>Thanks I think they are pretty cool too. When I was little living back in Boston I use to catch all sorts of snakes but the environment was much different back there.
