My First Clutch

SpectreBCIs Jul 04, 2008 02:54 AM

I can't figure out how to insert picts into my story so I'll have to post a couple of time. I've waited 4 years for this! My first clutch with the first snake I ever bought. Mom struck at the cage as soon as I entered the room, but I couldn't see antying so I just ignored her. She kept acting wired and then i saw it, a little head poking out! It was tricky getting mom out, but she's doing fine now and the kids look healthy, 14 in all, no slugs and 1 stillborn. No swollen bellies, and only the stillborn had a little yolk left. Both parents proved out to be het anery with a total of 6 anerys and 8 poss hets. Unfortunately the stillborn looked a lot lighter in color than the rest. My pics suck but I tried to show it. Enjoy!

It's an amazing feeling. Thats cool that they both proved out for you too. Looks like some nice healthy babies in there. Nick

Not only did they both prove out, but I got a great ratio. 6 anerys and 8 ph. I think I should go to Vegas or something!

On your first litter!!! Always cool!!! Love that tip of head poking out of substrate pic!!!

To post pics within the body of your post you need to open the pic and get the actual address, one of your pics....

http://gallery.kingsnake.com/data/77502clutch2-med.jpg

Then add the imaging tags (shown with an added space so they won't actually work)

once more without the spaces and...

there is a pic in the body of your post. You can add as many pics as you want, hundreds even!!!

You really give great detailed explanations Dave. Its never confusing . Some explanations ment to help people seem to be more confusing. Usually a lack of detailed info provided leaves person just as confused as before they asked. Were you a teacher at some point Dave ?,LOL
