Another egg question

JasonW Jul 04, 2008 10:11 AM

The eggs I recently got back that I figured I could save 7 of them, The egg container when I got the incubator back was at 150% humidity, I found out the container was cracked letting huge amounts of humidity in and the eggs started to get fungus on them. I have cleaned them off a couple of times but even in the new containers it keeps coming back. Should I just keep wiping them off and hope for the best or are they a lost cause now "Good eggs don't mold remember?" Thanks in advance.

CANDLE THEM and if you still see veins get some mouthwash on a q tip and wipe th mold off. It depends on what the eggs look like. if they were full of veins and are a nice white color, try to save them. if they are soft and squishy and yellow inside toss them.

plus if its 150% humidity which i hope you are wrong b/c they would be submerged in water... too much water can make them mold too. Jason, read the kathy love book and you should get most of your answers there

Yes the puddled water was touching the bottom of the eggs, they are still nice and white with lots of veins, thanks for the help.
