Nice cages. I'll list some good points and not as good points, although there is nothing bad about these cages.
Good points:
1. Easy to assemble and disassemble if you have to.
2. These cages are great for heating from above. Suggestion: Order the screen top with the hole in it for a light socket. You can use Vision's light socket or any from any of the dome reflectors sold. For example, I just unscrewed the ceramic socket from a Flukers 5 1/2" dome and it fit exactly into the hole in the Visionarium screen top.
Note: My Visionarium came with the hole already in the screen. Maybe they ship it that way now. They also give you a hole cover that snaps into the hole if you do not use a light.
3. The front sliding doors are nice.
4. Well made and strong. For the money, it is a nice setup and large enough for many snakes.
Other points, not necessarily bad:
1. No litter dam. The plastic floor has about 7/8" of lip. So I recommend a paper product substrate, like newspaper, or the new pelletized recycled paper substrate sold now (neat stuff), or Care Fresh, or dimpled craft paper. Anything else will likely spill into the door tracks.
2. The underside of the plastic floor has ridges. These are great for strength, but block almost any heat pad larger than a mini. So, heat cable is your best bet for undercage heating. That is what I used. Tape it onto the bottom, file a small slot on the back for the heat cable to come out with the cage sitting flush. Works great. You can find heat cable at Big Apple Herp or That Pet Place or LLL or...
3. Humidity does escape through the top. Easy to fix with some plastic wrap over some of the screen, or cardboard or whatever.
