Looking for photography tips...

BrandonSander Jul 04, 2008 12:50 PM

I know this may seem off topic since my question is about photography, but I am trying to take pics of various ball morphs and I figured some of you would have some tips you could share with me.

I am trying to capture the colors on a Mojave, a Bumblebee, and a Russo Het. Leucistic. However, the yellows, slight greens, and most of the colors on the Mojave keep getting washed out.

I have tried various flash modes on my camera with no success. I have a light box, but all that seems to do is diffuse the light and eliminate shadows - which is okay, but doesn't seem to help me capture the true colors of these animals.

Any and all tips and tricks will be appreciated!

Your problem is that you do not have the correct white balance.

What type of camera are you using?

I would suggest you contact Celia with Exoctics by nature.

IMHO, she is one of the very best reptile photographers and may be able to give you some tips.
