keithletourneau Jul 05, 2008 09:43 AM

I know it is not Boa's But I'm still really excited about this litter. Our GrCh Addy gave us 9 healthy pups on the 3rd 6 males and 3 females. I have been breeding Cane Corso since 95 and can't wait to get some of these pups into the show ring.Picture of new born pups and Addy on the beanbag taking a break from feeding. Thanks for looking Keith

i have been breeding showing boxers for 20 years, looks like a nice litter to me, let's hope there's some champions in there, best of luck.

Congrats on your litter of Corsos! They are gorgeous. Man, that is a breed I would LOVE to own. I met one once at a rare breed dog show and absolutely fell in love.

Thanks, this is an awesome litter. We are keeping everything- this was the end of a bloodline for us so we were very excited to have pups on the ground. She had started contractions and blood and fluid came out. Then she stopped having contractions. So off to the vet for a C-section. She had flipped one horn of her uterus "like a sausage casing" so when she started contractions it tore a big hole in the uterus. Thank god she is ok. This dog is the best one I have ever had worked with. I have worked with Dogue de Bordeaux and other large breeds but the Cane Corso blows them away. They were never used as a fighter so they get along with all animals as long as you socialize them. The farm utility dogs are the best to keep. IMHO Keith

That's good to hear that mom and pups all came through OK. Yeah, the fact that they get along with other animals coupled with their size and guardian instincts is one of the things I really like about these dogs. I am a big APBT fan but their fighting instincts can make it no fun to take them out in public. Awesome with people but you never know what's gonna happen when they see another dog...even when heavily socialized as pups. I also checked out your site and you have beautiful dogs with great type and conformation. Unfortunately, there seems to be a fair number of people getting into this breed to make some quick bucks and they are producing inferior dogs. Just check out the rescue section on canecorso.org.

Keep up the good work! Maybe one day I'll be contacting you about a new family member! Here's a pic of our two dogs (both from Pit Bull Rescue) doing what they do best...lounging on the couch!

I here you. My wife runs the rescue for the breed. I could tell you horror stories from acid burns on a dogs head and body to starved dogs because they are to old to breed. People are cruel some times.
The dogs are like snakes some people get into them because they love them and other do it for the bucks. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong in making a buck . Just the people that do it right will go above and beyond for the care and well being of there animals.
I served on the board of directors for years as owner rep and vp then president for 6 years for the international breed club. I'm proud to say I had a big hand in writing the AKC standard and getting them AKC accepted " that just happened July 1st 2008 " So I have seen and heard it all when it comes to this breed.
Thanks for Very kind words on our dogs we have worked long and hard to produce healthy, sound, correct type ,working and conformation dogs. Good luck with your dogs and Boa's. I live in Conn and I always have a late year my boa's should hopefully be dropping the end of Aug, being of Sept and one in Oct she just had post shed Anery het snow to anery het snow. so wish me luck Keith

I did not know the AKC now recognizes them! Very cool!

Good luck with your boas, Keith. My one and only pair (Mex X Costa Rican) gave me 21 healthy babies on 6/11. Now I am just waiting on my pregnant amazon tree boa to drop in Aug/September...
