My first Kings of 2008

Nokturnel Tom Jul 05, 2008 05:55 PM

I have 3 clutches of Speckled kings now and one Axanthic Brooksi. The Brooksi finished hatching yesterday, 11 eggs and they all hatched. I am gonna start to see a lot of cool stuff before August, which rules because it will keep me busy as I impatiently wait for Day-Ton-AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's some nice high yellow Speckleds so far, and the Brooksi are going to be dark purple babies, neat stuff!

Nokturnel Tom Jul 05, 2008 06:48 PM

I have a pair of Axanthics, but I should see some from the parents of the snakes you got from me very soon and I can't wait to see that clutch! Cross your fingers for a White Sided Ghost!

Ya know I showed that pic to my wife and enlarged it. I pointed out not only the smiley face but some other attributes, which look......female! I actually got smacked as she did not like me thinking of other females "attributes" haha!
Brooksi head patterns are really neat, just another cool thing about them thangs

This time 10 of 11 hatched within 36 hours of the first one and one straggler took a whole extra day. I have seen them all hatch in 48 hours many times but occasionally it takes some of the babies almost 5 days to emerge.
