omg I need help

amanda_davey Jul 06, 2008 03:11 AM

so if anyone remembers i posted about my sons gecko having problems with his eye. Well I gave him a humid hide like you all suggested and he sleeps in it, which is great.
But I checked on him today and he I couldn't believe what I saw !
BOTH of his eyes are completely clouded over and swollen and look like they have a thick layer of gunk on them but I can't get anything off!
I seriously don't hink he can see and I dont know what to do now !
He still eats but obviously he had trouble since he couldn't see.
I put some polysporin on his eyes and hopefully they will look better in the morning but I think he needs help.

I'm mad because my husband actually said to me.. why would you take him to the vet.. he's not even worth anything.

Not even worth anything ?? god.. i can't believe how insensitive he is!

please help
amanda

Ignore your husband. Get him to the vets.

I second that, take him/her to the vet asap.

And you should end up breeding the little one, to make money off of the hatchlings and rub it in your husbands face.

All jokes aside, it needs to see a vet.

Theres a word for your husband. And because of the TOS, I cant say it.

Get him to a vet. There may be a serious issue with the poor thing.

Oh, and for another thing.. let your HUSBAND pay the bill. :D

When we take in an animal, we take in a responsibility.
Often I am disappointed to read recommendations from people on message boards that do not even take tehir animals to a vet.

A moist hide obviously did not help. A vet will give you an ointment like the one you get to treat conjunctivitis, and that will take care of the eye problem in a day or two. It could have been from shedding, a scratch, who knows! But you need him treated by a professional, please
