can she breed in 4 months

imridethelghtng Jul 06, 2008 10:27 AM

Im not too good at knowing how big a ball has to be to breed. But i think with 4 months of heavy feeding this girl will go.Not sure she went off feed with the older girls when i cycled last season.I never tried to breed her knew she was too small then.Hopefully she will be ready in 4 months.I am broke so i dont have money to show my snakes sizes lmfao.so i used my size 11 shoe lol.Its all i could think of.Anyway hopefully some of you more experienced guys can give me some insight.

What is her weight? That would give a better idea, but just offhand I'd say she is still in the stage where she is putting on length rather than girth. When she really starts gaining in diameter is the time to start thinking about breeding. Just from looking at her I'd guess it will take more than 4 months.

The Avalanche has already started-it is too late for the pebbles to vote....

hun--- you can go to a specialty cooking or cookware store--- you know bed, bath, & beyond--- and get a scale that does all the grams you'll need for like $25...

a weight in grams will tell you if she's ready...

She sure is pretty though-- definatly a keeper.

I've never met a scale that could tell me if and when a snake is ready to breed. Instead, I let the male snake show me when a female is ready........

er......
yha.....
I meant the weight issue.... a male could breed an emaciated, unhealthy, underweight female-- get her pregnant... and then she'd die....

I don't know--- I was applying the general idea of the "standard" weight for a "breedable" female...

I'll disagree 110% on that. If the Female wasn't healthy or mature, she wouldn't breed. If she did copulate, her body wouldn't ovulate. Nobody gives the animals credit anymore, but if you know how to read them, they'll tell you all you need to know.
