Who's my daddy?

More head scratching going on here.

I bred my lav het hypo male to my hypo miami female. The pics are a few posts down under "het lavs with heavy miami influence. I never observed any copulation and when she appeared to swell with eggs I then introduced a crimson from Jeff Cochran (bought from Jeremy Pierce) to her. I did see breeding take place between these two but only 10 days later she went into her prelay shed and then laid her eggs a few days after that. Because the time frame was so short I assumed that the lavender was the father but now looking at the hatchlings I'm not so sure. They do look so crimson and or miami to me.

Do you think it is possible for a male to breed with a female who is ready to conceive right then and have her go into her prelay shed less than two weeks after the copulation?

Here are the pics again. You would think that if the lavender was the father then you would have at least some normal looking hatchlings.

Did the hatchlings all look like this? If so, you just proved you lavender is homo hypo and not het.. Ain't life just grand, ones day its cherries and the next its the pits..
