I have had many snakes before but I have never used aspen chips as a substrate until now. I placed a f/k mouse in my Ball Python's cage and he hit it very quickly (first feeding I have given). As he began swallowing it I noticed that the mouse had a woodchip stuck on his side. "Slytherin" is only about 18" long and I don't know what I should do. I was going to pull it off but I know that that would have probably caused him to reject the food, which looking in retrospect would've probably been worth it. Help me please! My girlfriend has kind of taken "ownership" of him and I would hate it if something bad happened to him.
