chameleon still having eye trouble.

GrYmLyN Sep 02, 2003 06:25 PM

my baby veiled is still getting these bags on the front of her eyes, it seems to come and go, and when the bags appear it bothers her cause i see her rub her eyes on a leaf or vine, not sure what could be iritating her eyes. the plants in her cage at the moment are all fake. basking spot temp is around 92-94 degrees, and the humidity goes up and down between 60-80% now depending on if i have misted or not, and i mist on average about 3 times a day, once in the morning, then on my lunch break from work, and at night when i get home. any suggestions as to what may be causing her eye iritation? she is about 5 inches from nose to tip of tail now, and i'm concerned about this eye problem, other than that she is perfectly healthy, hunts and drinks normal. my only thought is possible lack of air circulation because she is currently being kept in a 10 gallon glass terrarium with a screen top, because i just havent had the cash to buy her something bigger and better yet (almost there, one more paycheck this month and i'll be able to pull another $20 asside to buy a big set up ...)

The setup probably has a lot to do with it.
Also reptalys had posted an ointment she uses for eye problems.
