You can ship through Repster.com without going through the whole certification process with the shipping companies -- you just have to watch a video on how to properly ship -- they'll even send you free shipping boxes.

We are Fed-Ex certified and have been using Reptster.com for our last few shipments. We compared our Fed-Ex account to Reptster.com and we save about 30% using our own boxes.

I tried to join on Reptster so that I could ship but it won't let me join since I'm only 16. What do I do? Should I just put my dad's info so that I can join or what? Or do I just need to go through Fedex and get certified? Thanks for showing me this. I never knew you could do something like this.

I would guess since you are not an adult you'll probably need to do business through your parents until you are. You might find a contact link on the site and ask what they recommend.

Ok, thanks for the help. I think this will just be easier for me since I might be selling really soon and I don't want to have to go through the pain to become reptile shipping certified. Thanks again.

I never heard of repster.com. I went to the website to check it out and all I get is repster.com in the center of the screen and what is your rep?. No buttons no links nothing. Is the site down or what? Thanks.

Can I ship packages COD through reptster? What if the package arrives late? How do I receive a refund? Thanks!

Greg Graziani Jul 08, 2008 04:50 PM

The best way to ship.

SO basically Reptster is just a third party that uses the FedEx network? What are the advantages to using Reptster for someone like myself who already use FedEx with zero problems? IS thier volume such that they can offer deep discounts compared to regular FedEx discounted rates and still make a buck?

NoahHart Jul 08, 2008 09:32 PM

Go to Reptster and read. You get 15% to 25% off depending on certain details. And all you do is input the info, print out the label and drop it off at FedEx. www.reptster.com

I already get a discount through fedex. My question was specifically about the business model of Reptster and why I might consider using them...Since Greg posted here and is featured on their sight, I thought he might have some insight...

dallan Jul 09, 2008 09:24 AM

how did you get fedex certified to ship reptiles? I keep getting the run around on if the ship reptiles or not. please help

JP Jul 09, 2008 10:53 AM

Contact info for the local "Rep". He/she will give you the details...

Greg Graziani Jul 09, 2008 05:14 PM

Give David Young a call 727-686-5456 He can explain better what the discounts are.
