im having terrible luck trying to get them to breed. and if i get a litter of them, the mother eats them. is there anything someone can suggest to end this for me? i only use them for a few problem feeders and i absolutely HATE dealing with mice. so i want to figure out what im doing wrong, or what im not doing right. thanks in advance.....

I have them set up similar to mice. I throw in a cardboard tube from paper towels. I also have found they love several things that I do not give my mice. I give them bird seed they seem to really relish that also crickets and carrots. You might just have a bad group. I have never had one eat its babies. Not sure why. I would see about getting a few more from a different source. They are much easier to breed than mice at least to me. They smell less and also breed when it is hot and the mice shut off. Todd

Give them a good lab block, and they also like millet and rolled oats. Give them a hide or nesting box. Make sure just 1 male I've had a male eat a litter when there were 2 competing males in a tank mistakenly.
