Sharp albino X sharp albino

python2000 Jul 09, 2008 07:53 AM

I have a sharp albino boas pair i got from a trade. The female is 2 y.o the male is 1 y.o i was wondering if there can be problems in an albino X albino breeding regarding fertility and health of the babyes. I know in the kahl albino there are but i don't know regarding sharps. Mine are unrelated pair coming from different bloodlines.

Thank you

Flavio

I don't think you can have different blood lines if they are both Sharp Strain.

The albino gene isn't the problem. It's the inbreeding and line breeding that's the problem.
Depending on how far apart your animals are in terms of being relatives, I'd say you'd have a better shot at producing more babies with fewer problems than if you were to breed sibling to sibling, etc..
