TSK Axanthic, Weird Looking

Akua_Ko_Nalu Jul 09, 2008 01:34 PM

Now I'd like to ask your opinion on this girl, she's an 07 Snake Keeper Axanthic that has freshly shed as normal, but, her colours have gone crazy! My photography isn't great, so I won't be quitting my day job, but what do you think?

She's become alot lighter than normal, she is by no means brown, but she was not this beautiful stunning silver before.

This condition has been seen numerous times, nobody knows the reason behind sudden pigmentation change following a shed but he/she will gain back the pigmentation over time and be back normal looking.

She's quite the looker

Thanks, I had seen it before, but never experienced it myself, and as such, lost the link where I found it!

This is a girl we hatched out a few years ago. She is a 100% for axanthic. She looked normal at birth and for some time there after. Then she shed and golor just changed. Her she is after three sheds.

Hi Bruce,

Nice looking snake ... I wouldn't be at all surprised if she isn't carrying some other mutant genes as well, like a double het.

cheers, John
