Thio is one of the nicest Carteret Cty, NC x Schuett albino holdbacks that were produced. She is 67 days old and has gained more color w/ each shed.

Want to thank Wayne for doing a great job on getting a large group of non feeders feeding well. I sent Wayne around 20 non feeding babies that were giving me fits to get to feed voluntarily. He took the time to work with them and get them going.

That was Cool Scott, Thanks. They are all eating like piggies now on fish and worms. Some have the nicest red colorations to them.

I'm assuming the photos are of a snake from that litter where actually only one of the parents was het for flame (het flame for lack of a better term), man the flame is really kicking in considering only one parent was het flame and not both, what percentage are showing that much flame? or is it really various intermediate amounts of flame showing up in the babies, which is more what we predicted would be the case, since flame isn't really a single locus allele?

Jeff,

Tom Dickinson produced the double het flame albinos last year. I got 2 pairs from him, 2.1 were normal looking and the 0.1 is a flame. That flame bred to her sibling to create the albino flame. The flame trait is wierd cuz it is co-dom, breeding it to unrelated snakes produces flames (and normals). It can also be bred into to create hets, which I did w/ the leucistic, got flames and normals that were all 100% het leucistic. In my opinion flames are a great morph to work with cuz their colors vary plus you can outcross and always get flames and also breed morphs into them to get hets. Just my 2 cents worth.
