We got a ball from my Son's Grandfather in November of '07. They informed us that the night before they fed it 6 rats which I thought was a bit excessive but I digress...
We tried a F/T rat in mid-December and it wouldn't eat. The rat was white.
We waited another month and tried a live feed this time. Again, no luck. Again, a white rat.
He finally ate in March of 08 and has taken a live rat every week since....all either white & grey or white & brown...some color combination of color...nothing solid white.
This past weekend we tried a live feed again with a white rat. No luck. Removed the white rat and replaced it with a Brown & white rat the he took almost as quickly as it left my hand.
With snakes being color blind, does this make any sense?
