Knight anole and broken toe anyone know how to fix?

reptilelove May 23, 2003 03:14 PM

My large and oldest female Knight anole has been biten on her long toe on her right rear foot, its a horrible break with it hanging limply. I have made a foot board and taped the toe straight and taped the whole foot onto the board ( piece of plastic with no sharp edges) i used paper tape it comes off easily. she is in a great deal of pain, all her toes twitch and she swallows hard.. shes having trouble moving around so i have her with me, even now resting on my leg. I put a drop of lemon juice on the bandage to make her not bite at it. Anyone ever deal with such a bad broken toe? its broken in at least 2 places from what i can tell... any idea on how long to heal.. any pain advice? i am trying to keep her off it.. shes not approving very well.. ill post a pic of it later with the bandage if its nessarcy. My naughty "mr. Nall" must have done it when he was breedig with her . Anything will help thanks J
