In-Fertile Eggs?

dacherrypicker Jul 10, 2008 09:54 AM

What are some of the determining factors of a female constantly spitting out in-fertile eggs? This is the second year of her breeding. The first year she threw out 4 bad ones. This year so far and this is only her second clutch 4 more bad ones. Im beginning to think that the male isn't fertile. I have 1.3 Temper albinos het raptor and to this day I have yet to get a good egg from them. Any ideas? Should I approach the breeder about it? Possibly a hot male?

This has happened to me befor. If the females are laying eggs & there infertile, then it's probably the Male. There could be several reasons why. It could be he's to young or he was kept to warm just befor the breeding season. If this is the second year this has happened with this male, I would consult the breeder & see what opinions &/or advice they may have. Then in the worse case, you could always get a different male.
