Do you have the aquarium ready for the leo?

Do you have the food ready for it to eat?

and yes you should probably take it to the vet when it is a little bit older so you can take to the vet easier?

Hope this helped Josh

oh i guess i should say that i already have all the necessary equipment with me, i was just wondering if i should leave the leo alone, or take it to a vet to get it de-wormed, or watever else

thanks

If it is just a baby i would wait until it is a subadult because leopard geckos tend to get calmer when they are older so this way you probably could handle it better and it wouldn't freak out as much as if it was a baby/ hatchling. So yes I probably would hold off on the vet thing for a little while.

ok but i was wondering, if the animal was plagued with a problem, what should i do?

also, i want to be able to get the animal to tolerate sparse handling once in a while, what is the best way for me to get it accustomed to handling?

You probably should just wait a little while not very many hatchlings like handling what I would do is just wait a while for the handling thing and then when its older take it out of the aquarium a couple times a week and it should get use to you and calm down and become tame.

If it had an emergency you should have something to carry it in that wont require to handle it as much. Hope this helped ... Josh

hold off until it is older like in a year

a subadult leopard gecko is the stage after a hatchling it is usually around 5 inches
