Hi if she eats a lot of sand maybe she is searching for minerals.

Can you try putting small piles of calium dust on top of sand, sounds nuts I know but take whatever you use such a miner all or repcal whatever you dust your bugs with and shake a couple tiny mounts of it here and there, do it in front of her and see if she will start to lick that instead of taking bites of the sand.

Sometimes I wonder if there is a mineral, or something in sand they like, I do have a few that do that as well. But if I put the dust there they will lick that instead, and stop when they have had enough.

Worth a try.... Let us know

The thing is that i feed her always with calcium, and on the past 2days i left a dish with calcium for her..But when i put the sand there she starts to eat it same way:S

thanks, Nuno

Thats fine to keep the dish there, good, but take some out of the dish and put it where shes eatign sand, instead of eating sand she will get the calcium, then after she lays, take the sand awayif she continues to eat it.
