red eyed question??

geckoguy_ottawa Sep 02, 2003 07:54 PM

Hey guys,
A buddy of mine is interested in getting some RETF this weekend at a herp show. He has the perfect set for them. His aquarium is 50 gallons and pretty high. Ive read that red eyes do better in colonies. How many can you put in a tank this size? Just curious,
Thanks,
Jason

REs don't do better or worse alone or with others. There really isn't a "community" minded frog. But the basic rul eof thumb is 20 gallons for the first adult, add 10 gallons per additional frog. So a 50 gallon would be good for 4, but bigger is always better. The more space they have the happier they will be.
