My Florida king reacts the same way. They're small, they think everything's out to eat them. Whether you get much of a chance to hold her now or not, she'll settle down when she gets bigger. Once she has some size on her, she won't be so concerned that she's going to be lunch. Just keep taking good care of her, feed her, etc. Frequently holding her at this age might just stress her out.

Main thing I have learned about caring for a young snake, patience is key.

I agree with Holly. You Florida king WILL settle down once you get some size on her.

My advice is feed her LARGE food items and not pinkies . They (Florida kings) can handle much larger and more frequent meals than other spp. ...Gosh, they eat other snakes in the wild as a staple.

I get my Florida kings to breed in 1 year if that is any indication on how big and often you can feed them.

I agree with Bluerosy and Holly. Hatchling Florida kings, Easterns, Blacks and Specs can down fuzziez no problem, mine have and do. Not to mention a slow finger or two.
