Ultramel aner caramel motley - a first

mike17L Jul 10, 2008 02:50 PM

Here you go, these are the result of breeding a golddust motley to a butter motley, so they must be homozygous for both caramel and motley, and they must be either amels or ultramels. The images are right after hatching, but apparently both parents carried aner as well.

The 12 egg clutch had 8 gold dust motleys, 2 butter motleys, 1 amel aner (snow) caramel motley, 2 ultramel aner caramel motleys.

In the picture is 2 ultramel aner caramel motleys, 1 amel aner caramel motley, 1 butter motley, and 2 golddust motleys.

Enjoy

Biiiiiig congrats on that clutch!

Please, please share some more photos with those of us in this Gutatta forum....

I'm terribly anxious to see a closer photo of the Ultramel Anery Caramel Mots...lol

Sadly, I don't have the free time required to keep up to date on the other, VAST gutatta forum.

Thanks for any additional photos.

Just curious, where does the ANERY come in???
If these are from the breeding of a Golddust (Ultramel Caramel) Motley X Butter (Amel) Motley, where is the Anery. trait??

I didnt know it, but both parents were het aner. By chance I bought the mom a year latter from the same guy (Brad Licthenhan) I got the male from. I didnt even know they were related until I called Brad to ask about them, after these hatched.

Ahhhhh, gottcha.
I figured the only way WAS if both adults were het Anery. It wasn't mentioned in the original post, that's what threw me.

Cool, congrats on those little gems. It will be interesting to see how they change as they mature. Keep us updated !!

Thanks, Walter

Yo Shaky,

I would have them there, but I am meeting a wholesaler this weekend. I am moving most everything I have produced. It is taking a big headache away from me. I may still have a table there, but it will be with second clutches and left overs only. You still have that bi bairds female? Let me know if you do.
