last year.
My female showed all the signs, and then her due date came and went. I heard the same thing - that sometimes they can hold in a litter... so I delayed feeding her much and waited and waited.
Some people said to check her body temps, if she's at 88 degrees or so, she might be gravid. I did that, and she was at 88. But still no babies.
Someone else suggested I take the boa out of her cage, and let the rear 3rd of her body hang down. If her body looked lumpy when hanging, she likely would have babies, still... if her body looked normal and smooth when hanging, no babies. This actually makes a lot of sense - babies in sacks (or slugs) might be visible.
I did THAT, and saw no lumps. I started handling and feeding her normally after that - she probably reabsorbed.
But - I'll tell you what lots of breeders told me - the only way you can know for sure at this point is to take her in for an ultrasound/sonogram.
This year, she gave birth at exactly 105 days POS, though not the best first litter ever... She acted MUCH differently this time 'round, laying up on a branch in her cage as if she were a green tree python, and trying to crawl under her bedding (where she had her babies). She had a pre-birth stool about a month before, not a week or a few days before. It did look really really weird though - all shiny and plasticy-looking.
Good luck! It's frustrating, I know... But I believe those longer term litters are VERY rare. She might not have taken for you.
