Dan,
In the first two picts it looks like she just got done musking the hell out of you or is about to, her vent is wide open, hope she didn't get it on you
I hate it when that happens!!! Those are the best strike shots I have ever seen, great timing, you must have your camera set up for fast action shots!!! Those stike picts are absolutely fantastic!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing
Jeff

LOL, thanks for the compliments, but he actually just kept his mouth open striking slowly. And yea, I get musked on by almost every garter I pick up, I dont pick up many,LOL
Thanks again Jeff
Dan
clorox wipes are great for removing the musk smell!!!!!!
WOW! That sure is a chunky looking Parietalis in the 1st 2 pictures. Was it a gravid female? Those last two shots would of made a great scene in a 3-D movie. lol
Nope, its a male. I'm sure he was just eating some chorus frogs right before I caught him.
Dan
Yeah, I just assumed without looking close it was a female due to it's size, but after going back and looking at it's tail, I'm sure you are right, it's a male, but it is a really big fat male red-sided.

Before I grabbed it I thought it was a female too.
Dan,
Beautiful pics! Did you find the one in the tree/bush or did you place it there?
Scott
Thanks Scott
I heard that one moving in the bush as I walked by.
