My male spider "Stan-Lee" and female pastel "Baby"
gonna try to start breeding when they are larger. 1 question, if I get another female pastel or other morph, will 1 male breed to more than one female in a season?

Big males can handle 4-5 females.... smaller boys can cover less girls...

thats my understanding anyway--

good luck-- they look great!

I'd pick up a female Pinstripe for him, another Pastel female and a nice normal female or maybe a Mojave female. It's better to have the extra females than not have them, especially if he decides he really likes the girls. I have a 2 year old Lemon Pastel/Lesser male that is breeding 12 females this year, I also have a few other 2 year olds that only bred a couple females each. When your breeding a male to several females....just give him 3-5 days rest in between breedings. Spiders are usually very good breeders.

My pastel male bred two females last season and was itching for more. Haha.

Nice coloring on your morphs.I would pic up another pastel female and maybe a pinstripe or a female cinnamon. You can make some nice combo's with any of the above.

I actually just contacted someone who is selling 2 female cinnamons. I may pick up one of those.

Very nice looking Bumble Bee project!

I also hope to get a Bumble Bee, when these two get older (in a couple years)

Good Luck,

Just wondering.....where do you get your snake names from?

oc-balls Jul 11, 2008 11:34 PM

www.babynames.com
I choose names that start with the same letter as the type of morph it is.
i.e. Apu is an Albino, and Norma is a Normal.

Umm, "Stan Lee" of Marvel Comic fame, think "Spider Man", and "Baby just came about because I took so long to name her. I just kept calling her "The Baby" and now we've just shortened it to "Baby"
Here is my old boy "Chester" He gets no love any more. He's about 44" I think.
