Brother, we just got too picky.
Bolivians held a $750 a piece price tag for years and it did not
matter wether they were thin saddled or speckled or not " that was the price. "
Breeders, also stuck together back then " at least allot better "
and would actually take the time to call eachother and put their
heads together on what they were going to charge for certain locales on any given year.
Now, there is too many and it has become very " cut throat " and
allot have become way too picky and think that everything revolves around how many " Ooohs and Ahhs " they can get on the forum.
We use to just feel priveledged to be able to own a Suriname or
Peruvian or Guyana ect, " regardless of how clean or Peaked Out it was. "
Good Boas deserve good prices and if the few breeders of Locale Boas that are left, will stick together and not overprice, but
definately price Boas accordingly and not cut throats and have
weekend BLOWOUT sales, we can bring our part of the Hobby back to it's former glory.
Sometimes, you may have to sit on some for a while, but never try to produce more than your willing to sit on and definately, do not put them out in public view at wholesale prices.
Sooner or later, they will sell and number one " customers need to be happy and not receive problems. "
I would love to see some Bolivians " back to that " that look like Bolivians again.
I miss the big and bold markings and the huge Batwing saddles.
Things change, " for the best for some " and " to the disgust of others. "
Such is Life, but it is still beautiful.
