I have a yearling female. For the first 6 month I had her, she was in her own room. Room temp of 74-77 degrees. Undertank heater provided. She ate like a champ.

When I made some changes for my scarlet king, I did the same for her, ie: added a tight hide and moved her to a room where the ambient temp was warmer, near 80 degrees during the midday hours, 72-75 at night. I figured the warmer climate would better resemble her desert habitat.

Since I moved her, she has refused to eat.

After about 2 weeks, I moved her back into her own room. Still warmer than the first room by a degree or two, but away from the other snakes as a local shop owner suggested it was possible she smelled the King snake and it shut her down. I tried to feed her again last night after 3 days in her new locale, and my pinks were still there this AM.

Any ideas as to what is up with her?????

Good to hear. I am trying to fatten her up and try my hand at "cooling" her this winter.

You just saved me a 1/2 drive to get some live pinks!
