2 REALLY GOOD BREEDING QUESTION

adogunnaike Jul 11, 2008 12:36 PM

1) When using multiple males to one female... is it possible that the genetics from 2 different males could be present in the same offspring? I.e. If I bred a 1.0 Lesser x 1.0 Spider x 0.1 Pastel are LESSER BEES a possiblity?

2) If the possiblities are true from question 1. and since it was a co-dom question what happens when you substitute a codom to a recessive. Meaning, If I bred a 1.0 Lavender Albino x 1.0 BEE x .01 Mojave. Would these babies be 100 % Het for Lav or possible Hets.

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP

No.

You may produce eggs from various sires, but only one sperm fertilizes an egg, so there's no chance of mixing it up as you hoped.

actually I hoped it to be NO... simply because It would produce more quantity of morphs instead of quality. Id rather it take 2 or 3 generations for that special offspring... then just 2 or 3 multiple males.
