Last year I crossed my amel yellow/glades with my white-sided female. As I was feeding the resulting babies today, I decided to take a photo of one of my keeper males. He's about three weeks shy of his first birthday.
Only a few are this orange. The best feeders are on hoppers already. The initial hold-outs are on fuzzies, and the double-clutch babies are still on pinkies. Ater months of tease-feeding most of them, ALL sixteen are eating frozen/thawed on their own. Thank goodness, as this year's babies just starting pipping this morning. If all goes well, I'll have clutches of pure white-sideds, amel yellow/glades x greenish, and amel yellow/glades x gulf hammock.
