just a few pics

pooter Jul 11, 2008 10:07 PM

I was cleaning earlier today, and thought I would take a few pics of my new additions.. and since I have some pics - thought I might come out of those shadows I have been lurking in and share the pics..

I have wanted these for a long time, now I have a pair..

I think both of the pics are of the female - the male was pretty active so I did not get many good shots of him - but they looks absolutely identical - so I can't really tell for sure.

while I am at it..

I know there are a few woma posts lately - here are some of mine..
my adults are all 4 in blue - but here are some sub adults

an 06 male

an 08 male

07 male

a really late 07 female

08 female

07 female

07 female

and I know they aren't pythons.. but I just got this trio too.. and they are cool.. so I am posting..

Very nice olives!!!

Who did you pick them up from?

I took my male olive out for some shots yesterday, but nothing worth posting...

Thanks Todd.. they are awesome snakes..

I got them from Chance... they are from the clutch his female produced at Hartwig's.

Ahhh- very cool!

Chance is a good man, and I got my lone male from Jeff:

It's a good season for Olives. Chance has them, a friend of mine has a large clutch hatched, and another clutch incubating. I picked up a second female recently that had only been eating chicks, with a rat tied to the chick. Well, I got her to try a f/t hamster, which she seems to love. Now I'm putting a rat behind the hamster She's growing fast, now. I'll be trying my other female this fall. Multiple males and skins seem to be the clue.

Love those Olives.....

Haha! That's great! (rat tied behind the chick!)

Never thought of that one before, but it's a great idea!

Excellent news about all the baby olives- I think the most underrated snake. Without question, mine is my all out fav- time after time, I'm taking him out more than all my others to handle!

Very few snakes more attractive than a freshly shed Olive.

With a pimento, of course.
