Technically Mojave and Yellowbellies ARE hets. Mojave is het. for Super Mojave or Blue Eyed Leucistic, and Yellowbelly is het. for Ivory.

Which is also why genes such as albino, hypo, clown, piebald, etc are referred to as "recessive" genes(ie,the hets are not visable like co-dom/incomplete genes are)
"Tending to go backward or recede."
www.answers.com/topic/recessive?cat=technology
www.answers.com/topic/recessive-gene-2?cat=health
"A gene that is phenotypically expressed in the homozygous state but has its expression masked in the presence of a dominant gene."
