Hey all,
my daughter's bf just gave me his sub adult beardy, since he has been working to much to take care of it. I noticed yesterday that his throat was black, and now this morning it looks swollen.
I have been doing some research and determined that it may a toxicity issue, as I may have over supplemented him. I was using Dragon Dust by T-Rex. I sprinkled it on his bok choy over the last 3 days feeding.
I also bought some pre packaged live crickets that had a carrot in the container. Could that have been the Vit A overdose?
Any other ideas? I am looking for a vet but will watch him for now.
~OK~ Update - while I was typing this and checked my boy, his throat is no longer black and does not appear to be swollen at all now. I dropped some crickets in, and he was jumping at the tube as I was dumping them out!
Sorry this is long, just a newb to dragons. He is currently in a 20 long. It appeared he got to hot yesterday, as he was trying to claw his way through the glass. I turned off his basking lamp (50W) and he chilled. He is eating well today, just a nervous new parent I guess!
