Some common MA finds...

Joe_M Jul 12, 2008 11:59 AM

We headed out to release a yearling Lampropeltis triangulum triangulum that I had used for some comparison shots and then looked around for a while. The first find (which was a first for my youngster) was a Diadophis punctatus edwardsii or as my daughter called it "the snake with the necklace"

We then found the ever so dangerous, lol Thamnophis sirtalis sirtalis under an old wooden pallet

After photographing I returned her back under the pallet and found another that we didn't see at first

On the way home we stopped and hiked a trail through the woods. Ater seeing a couple of Chrysemys picta picta sunning themselves, we walked down to the waters edge. I saw one just off the edge of the water and whispered to my daughter to go pick it up by the sides of the shell. Unfortunately whe she went to pick it up this is what we found

What a shame and very hard to answer all the questions from a 4 year old after finding that.

To end on a good note here is one of the comparison photos that I mentioned

As I mentioned, the young male normal was released following this photo shoot.

bad luck on the turtle, great luck on the albino! Are you going to breed it locality?

Nice post. What's with the albino? Did you find that or buy that?

I found it last June.
