Great! Did you toad scent the pinkies?
For one of them I put a small toad in the cage and she got excited, so I pulled out the toad and held a pinkie in front of her. The pinkie would have been lightly scented from the exchange, but that was it. With the other, I held a pinkie and the toad together and managed to get him to eat the pinkie instead of the toad.
Good Deal! I've got 29 eastern eggs in the incubator right now.
has to switch those over, it sure is an awesome sight as its not always the easiest thing to do. Good job!

The last 3 decided to eat this morning by holding the toad and pinkie together.
what kind of toad???? how big??? mine still has not eaten
I used a very small toad that has just lost it's tail (toadlet?) They are all over the place here in the Northeast, and I saw lots of them hopping around in Ohio last week. Your eastern should be attracted to a hopping toad, so you could try to scent an appropriate sized pinkie and put it in front of the snake's mouth when he goes for the toad. Easterns are the only snake I've worked with that you can hand feed most of the time.
Good luck!
Beautiful little guy i have 2 easterns fixin to lay there eggs everyone is talking about there hatchling and mine havnt even laid there eggs yet
