Lesserwoma poss fire (need imput)

ballisticmorphs Jul 13, 2008 04:14 PM

Here is a Lesserwoma (poss fire) that we hatced out with our Queenbee and Lesserbee. Does anyone that have seen baby Lesserwomas think this is typical or does there look like there may be some fire mixed in?

Thanks for looking!

The belly is clear because of the Lesser in it so can't tell from that.

Just wondering how you know its a lesser woma? It doesnt look anything like the lesser womas on NERD's sight. I have these planned in the future and would love to know how you tell. Congrats, that sounds like a killer clutch.

...it does look like the Lesser Woma hatched in 2007 by Brian Barczyk of BHB Reptiles.

NERD's Lesser Womas look entirely different because of a 'hidden' gene in Kevin's Womas.
(Maybe someone who knows more can give you some more info on this....)

Click the link and scroll down a bit to some great photos of the BHB Lesser Woma.

We bred our Lesserpastel to our Woma (poss Fire). The Womas came out of a clutch from a Woma to a Fire looking female. We also bred our Fire looking female to our Lesserpastel and got this Lesser (poss Fire) which looks different from the other Lessers in that clutch. It even has a spot on the head. What do you think?
Thanks, Debbie

Our Womas have always looked different than most that came out of that Fire looking female. Here is a pic of the Woma mom to the Lesserwoma (poss Fire).

I was talking to kevin a while ago and he was saying how his womas produce a red color...His line may have some kind a hidden gene. sorta like lesser platnium vs RDR line of platties. Just my .02 cents.

I was under the impression that the Soul Sucker was the lesser woma with the hidden gene. Thats what the website basically says.

ballisticmorphs Jul 14, 2008 11:02 AM

Both of Kevin's Lesserwomas (the green one and the Soul Sucker have the Hidden Gene, the Soul Sucker came out different tho than the green one. I don't know why tho.
Thanks, Debbie

Ralph Davis produced a lesser fire in 2007, the pics are on his website. It had really light sides which I'm guessing is the fire coming out. Hope this helps, either way your snake looks awesome!
